Although luxury watches can be kept for years and years, sometimes it’s nice to have a change. So, if you’re wanting to update your wardrobe by selling your old watch for a different one, then you’ve come to the right place. Whether you’re wanting to sell your ten-year-old Rolex or an only-worn-once Audemars Piguet, we can give you the best price for your valuable items on the same day as your item is valued.
Knightsbridge wasn’t always held with such esteem
The area of Knightsbridge has a strange history, as it originally was a rough patch of land between the villages of Charing, Chelsey and Kensing Town. Knightsbridge only really began to develop with the creation of its hospital, which was built to give patients the benefits of fresh air. Even at this time, Knightsbridge didn’t look anything like it does now, as it appeared empty because of its location and the fact that it was a large stretch of land. The Knightsbridge paving act saw the entire area be properly paved and pedestrianised, and as Harrods and Harvey Nichols started development, Knightsbridge only got busier. Now, Knightsbridge is one of the most sought after locations in London.
Our favourite luxury watches
There are a lot of luxury watches that we could have included on this list, however, we’ve selected four of our all-time favourites to make your watch decision even easier, whether you’re wanting to buy or sell.
Rolex Datejust
The Rolex Datejust first appeared in 1945 and was only available in gold. Skip forward 76 years, and the watch now comes in a variety of different metals and also bi-metal. The Datejust watch offers a choice of radial Arabic or Roman numerals and rectangular or diamond markers. What we like most about the Datejust watch is that it’s an everyday watch that gives you the freedom to either dress up or dress down. Leather bracelets are not available with Rolex’s Datejust, however, they do offer the Oystersteel, Rolesor and sportier Oyster bracelets for you to choose from.
Rolex Submariner
The Rolex Submariner is considered as one of the very first diving watches, which is why the Submariner is great if you are looking for a timepiece with great durability. For many watch enthusiasts, the Rolex Submariner is a timepiece with two very different influences. The first is its history with over 60 years of mechanical engineering, combined with other modern influences like the masculine need for a large watch which makes a statement when sat on the wrist.
Panthère De Cartier
Cartier’s Panthère is a watch that is cemented in Cartier’s brand. Unlike some of the other watches on this list, the Panthère is a women’s watch and has been seen on the wrists of Dua Lipa, Madonna and Anne Hathaway. Although this watch was first released in 1983, it was revived in 2014 after ten years, and again it reigns as one of the most popular Cartier watches of today. The Panthère is a watch that is extremely easy to wear as it essentially takes all the best bits from the Santos watch. Saying that, the Panthère is definitely a watch that is more slender than the Santos, and almost resembles a bracelet more than it does a watch.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak
The Royal Oak is perhaps the most well-known of Audemars Piguet watches, mainly known for its classic style. Celebrating its 50th anniversary next year, this watch has a completely unique design, rumoured to be inspired by the metal collar on a deep-sea diving helmet. The bezel on the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak acts as a sort of ‘picture frame’ to the watch face, which now comes in a range of different colours. We love this watch because of its weighty presence. If you’re looking for a statement watch, the Royal Oak is certainly the watch for you.
